BMP'S ROLLING TELEVISION NETWORK FLIES HIGH AT THE ENORMOUS 2008 MCAS MIRAMAR AIR SHOW

October 31, 2008

SAN DIEGO/MIRAMAR, CA (October 31, 2008) – Big Moving Pictures, operator of the Rolling Television Network (RTN) today release results from this month's MCAS Miramar Air Show. The official tally totaled over 700,000 attendees during the 3-day event. An unprecedented agreement between BMP and the show's organizers allowed both the event’s sponsors and RTN's national advertisers to participate in a big-screen extravaganza akin to an onsite television show. Through the agreement, sponsors of the MCAS Miramar Air Show had for the first time an opportunity to present their television commercials to the very large crowds present at the event, which celebrated its 54th year with performances by top aviators including the United States Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration team.

“Whereas previously at major events such as air shows and car races, you had relatively small outdoor screens offering some local advertising, our huge mobile super-bright LED screens allow for unprecedented live event coverage, while supplying a venue for the event’s sponsors and our national advertisers to get their message out in an uninterrupted, non-TiVo-able format,” explains David Knight, CEO of Big Moving Pictures. RTN functions similarly to conventional broadcast networks in that it provides packaged and live action content, a technology infrastructure, promotion and advertising sales, but sends its signal to large outdoor screens and sound systems at major events instead of to the home. The company can also send its audio/video content via Webcast and mobile phones to fans outside of the region where an event is taking place.

According to MCAS Miramar Corporate Sponsorship & Sales Manager Dino Richardson, “We have a grass roots audience with a solid family-oriented demographic that attends regularly. The MCAS Miramar Air Show is a multi-day, all-day-long event where people are informed and entertained by RTN content, while waiting for the next performer to begin.” RTN augmented the show with content packages featuring the performers, aircraft and embedded full-length commercials that bring Hollywood-style presentation to the previously non-video-oriented air show environment. “The idea is to continually scale the footprint that we can offer to our sponsors with a unique opportunity to reach out to a broadcast sized audience and actually communicate with them onsite during the event,” Richardson added.

BMP and Miramar through RTN attracted national advertisers and local event sponsors, respectively, who want to bring their messages to a demographically attractive audience. RTN addresses two critical market needs: 1) an outlet for advertising where audiences cannot “Tivo” past their commercials; and 2) the improvement of large spectator events into a more modern form of entertainment, complete with state of the art sound systems, technology in the form of the screens and in-cockpit camera coverage, and high-quality content that audiences aged 15-to-55 demand.

Big Moving Pictures (BMP) is the first company to monetize advertising on outdoor television screens at events on a national scale. Mobile large-scale HDTV screens provide live event coverage mixed with high-quality content and embedded commercials. Through its Rolling Television Network, BMP is bridging the world of national advertising with that of large, outdoor spectator events. This union allows advertisers to discover a virtually untapped market for television-type advertising and provides both national ad sales and local insertions similar to models found in the television and radio industries.
